Local chat and generation do not upload your prompts, reference images or results to Naldar. We don’t receive a copy to read or use for training through that local processing.

A personal AI should give you room to think and create. Naldar and Naldar Studio run local models on your Mac, so your prompts and creations don’t need to pass through our servers or a cloud AI provider.
This is how local use works. Web features, sharing and services you connect have different boundaries, explained below.
THE LOCAL PATH
The work happens
on your computer.
Naldar talks to the local chat model. Naldar Studio runs supported image and video models. The model processes your request on your Mac and returns the result there.

A library on your Mac.
Chats, saved memories and Gallery media are stored locally. They are not a cloud library we can browse. You decide what to export, share or post.
Works offline after setup.
Once compatible models and engines are installed, local chat, image and video generation work without an internet connection or a cloud AI account. Downloads, updates, web browsing and connected services still need the internet. Customer rental activation also needs an online check at least every seven days; offline access remains bounded by the paid period.
CLEAR BOUNDARIES
When information
can leave your Mac.
Local AI doesn’t make every connected activity private. Here’s what changes when you go beyond local chat and creation.
- Web search, browsing and connected services
- Search terms and requests go to the services involved. Websites can receive browsing information, and an agent may send text or files when carrying out an action you authorize. Those services have their own privacy terms.
- Sharing, posting and support
- When you post, upload or send a file, its destination receives the content you choose. Exported files stay wherever you save them; sharing or syncing them can send them elsewhere. Anything you send to support can be read by the support team.
- Optional app usage statistics
- App usage analytics are off by default. If enabled, the app sends limited usage information, not your chat text, prompts, images or memories. The analytics server receives your network connection, including its IP address.
- Signing up on this website
- Early access registrations are recorded on the website and in our CRM, with a copy sent to support. Support conversations stay in our support and email systems. Our Privacy Policy explains these records, which are separate from your local AI content.
YOUR DEVICE MATTERS, TOO
Local means on your Mac.
It doesn’t mean unreadable.
Someone with access to your Mac or saved files may be able to read them. Naldar’s local library and exported backups are not encrypted by the app. A backup or sync service you use can also copy files outside your device.
Protect your Mac with a strong login, keep its software updated, and use FileVault disk encryption. Share and back up your library with the same care as other personal files.
AN EXTRA LAYER, IN YOUR HANDS
Ultimate Privacy Option
Keep exported Naldar backups and creations on a password-protected, encrypted external hard drive or SSD for extra protection from prying eyes. Naldar Studio also lets you choose an external folder for new generations.

When you’re done, close apps using the drive and safely eject it. Encryption protects the files on that drive while it’s locked. It doesn’t hide them while the drive is unlocked and in use.
Know what stays on your Mac.
Moving the app alone does not move its chats, memories or other saved data. A fully portable installation isn’t currently built in, and changing Studio’s save folder doesn’t move earlier creations. Protect any copies and backups separately.
