A FEW THINGS WORTH KNOWING

Good questions.
Straight answers.

Your prompts, your creations, your computer. Here’s how it works.

The apps means Naldar and Naldar Studio running on your device. Our company means Revel Design LLC, the operator of Naldar, and our team. An app processing your files locally is different from our company receiving them.

Getting started

What is Naldar?

The Naldar app is your personal AI workspace for Mac. Chat, explore ideas, refine prompts and work with personal agents, using compatible local AI models.

What is Naldar Studio?

The Naldar Studio app is the companion app that runs supported image and video models on your Mac. Use the Naldar app for chat; install and connect Studio when you want local image and video creation. They work together, with creations available in your Gallery.

Can I use Naldar or Naldar Studio without the other?

Yes. The Naldar app works on its own for chat and agents. The Naldar Studio app works on its own for image and video creation. Connect them when you want to create images or videos directly from Naldar. The current introductory subscription includes both apps.

Is this a website or an app I download?

The AI runs in downloadable Mac apps. This website introduces the apps and lets you create a Naldar account. Opening the website does not run an AI model on your computer.

Can I use it on my phone or Windows PC?

The current apps are for Mac. A Windows app is planned for December 2027. You can visit the website on other devices, but the website does not run the apps on your phone or Windows PC.

How do I get access?

Choose Sign up / Register to create your Naldar login. We email you a link to set your password; then you can sign in to your account. Sign-up is free and does not start billing or activate a license. We are preparing both apps for launch, and installer downloads open November 15, 2026.

Your prompts. Your creations.

How is this AI private? I thought artificial intelligence was an internet thing.

AI does not have to live on the internet. At its core, a model is a large set of numbers, and running it means solving many mathematical calculations. In the Naldar app, compatible local models do that work on your computer, using its processor and memory to turn your prompt into a response or creation. The local app reads your prompt to produce a response; our company does not receive or read a copy through that local processing. Downloads, license checks, web features and services you choose to connect still use the internet.

Can I talk about things that our company will never see?

If you take the proper security steps and keep your device safe, then yes—you can keep local discussions private from our company. The Naldar app processes those discussions on your Mac; our company does not receive a copy or have access to read them through local processing. To protect that privacy:

  1. Secure your Mac with a strong login password, FileVault and an automatic screen lock.
  2. Protect backups and external drives with encryption, and keep your device and accounts secure.
  3. Check where chats, exports and creations are saved. A cloud-synced folder can send files to that storage provider.
  4. Review agent permissions and destinations. Keep private content out of web searches, uploads, posts and connected services unless you intend to share it.
  5. Only send our support team the information you want our company to receive.

The distinction is simple: the app needs to process your words to respond; our company does not see local conversations through that processing. If you send us a conversation or screenshot for support, our company can see what you sent. Someone with access to your unlocked device or unprotected files may also be able to read them; no app can guarantee protection against every form of device compromise.

Can our company see files on my computer?

Installing the Naldar app does not give our company remote access to your computer or let our staff browse your files. Folder access you grant an agent lets the local app work with those selected files; it does not automatically upload the folder to our company. Files or excerpts can leave your Mac when you choose to share them, send them to Support, or authorize an agent to upload, post or email them through a connected service. That destination receives the content needed for the action. Review an agent’s permissions and the destination before approving a transfer.

Can the app read my prompts? Can our company read them too?

The Naldar app and its local model must process your prompts and relevant conversation context on your Mac to answer you. That is different from our company reading them: local processing does not send our company a copy or give our staff access to those conversations. If you deliberately send content to our support team, our company receives that content. Websites and connected services receive the information you choose to send to them.

Can anyone see the images or videos I make?

Local generations are saved on your Mac, not automatically published or uploaded to our company. Our staff cannot view those local creations through the app. People can see files you share, post, sync or send to them. Someone with access to your Mac, files or backups may also be able to view them.

When might my generations no longer be completely private?

Local generation means the AI work runs on your Mac; it does not guarantee that every later copy stays private. Generations may be accessible to other people or services if you save them in a cloud-synced or shared folder, copy them to a shared computer or drive, include them in an outside backup, upload or post them online, email them, or send them to our support team. Our company receives content you send to our support team; outside services receive content you send to them. Access to your Mac or cloud account, or malicious software on a device, can also expose files. Review the destination, sharing settings and who has access before copying or sending private content.

What does a license check send, and does it include my location?

The app sends which app is checking, a persistent identifier derived from your Mac’s hardware ID, a fresh verification code and either your license key or its saved activation token. License checks do not send GPS coordinates, chats, prompts or creations. Our hosting server sees your connection’s IP address, and standard HTTPS logs record it. An IP address can suggest an approximate location. You are welcome to use a VPN. If the license check goes through it, our server sees the VPN’s outgoing IP. Your activation stays tied to the same Mac. License checks are separate from website analytics.

What happens if I save a generation in iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox or another cloud folder?

That outside service may upload the files and their embedded metadata, even though the folder appears in Finder on your Mac. Its privacy, account access, sharing, retention and security rules apply. Local processing in the Naldar apps does not protect those outside copies, and the apps do not add separate encryption to exported media. A successful copy into the folder is not confirmation that an upload has finished; check the cloud provider’s app or Finder status. This also applies to synced Desktop or Documents folders and to a Naldar Studio generation folder inside a synced location.

Is copying to an external drive the same as uploading to the cloud?

No. An external drive does not upload files by itself. However, network or shared drives and separate sync or backup software can share or upload their contents. The Naldar apps cannot certify that any selected folder is offline or private. Protect the drive and check the access, sync and backup settings that apply to it.

Does deleting a generation in the app remove my cloud or exported copies?

No. Exported and copied files are independent. Remove them separately from the cloud service, drive or recipient. Providers may also keep trash, versions or backups according to their settings. Deleting from the Naldar app’s Gallery does not delete Naldar Studio’s independent original either.

Are my chats or images used to train your AI?

Local chat and generation do not upload your content to our company for training. Talking to a model does not automatically retrain its underlying model. Saved memories provide context, which is different from model training. Services you choose to connect have their own policies.

Does private mean my files are encrypted?

Local means stored on your Mac; it does not mean the app encrypts every file. Protect your Mac with a strong login and FileVault. Protect exports and backups too. An encrypted external drive can help protect files while the drive is locked.

What changes when I use the web or an agent posts something?

Web searches, browsing and connected services need to communicate with their destinations. Search providers and websites can receive requests and browsing information. When you authorize an agent to post or upload, that site receives the content. Local AI privacy does not make those external activities invisible.

What information does our company have when I register here?

Our company receives your email and account details when you register on our website and sends you a password-setup email. Updates and offers are separate, optional choices at sign-up. Previously submitted early-access records remain separate, under the consent originally given. Your local chats and creations are separate from website accounts. To request access to or deletion of information we hold, email support@naldar.com. The Privacy Policy explains the details.

Mac security and permissions.

Is Naldar safe for my Mac?

Download Naldar and Naldar Studio only from your Naldar account and keep macOS security protections enabled. You may see a first-open warning for an app downloaded from the internet, or a Keychain prompt when the Naldar app needs a saved connection credential. Read the requesting app and item names before allowing access. Allow Once permits that request; Always Allow remembers permission for that app to retrieve the item. Neither authorizes an agent to post or send messages. An unverified-developer warning means macOS could not establish the developer identity or notarization needed for its normal checks; it is not proof of safety. If macOS says the app is damaged or will damage your computer, stop and contact support@naldar.com. An unsupported Mac or macOS message is a compatibility issue; changing permissions will not fix it. No software can be guaranteed risk-free. Our account User guide explains these prompts and what to do if they repeat.

Your Mac does the work.

Will I have enough storage for generations after downloading models?

Models and generated files both take up storage, so the space you need depends on your models, image sizes, video lengths and how much you keep. If your internal drive is short on space, use the app’s storage controls to choose a creation folder on an external hard drive or SSD. Keep that drive connected while it is in use. For generated files, you can also choose a locally available folder synced by a service such as Apple iCloud Drive or Google Drive, where supported. Cloud syncing uploads those files to that provider. Its handling of your files is governed by its own privacy policy, not our company’s; our local-only privacy promise does not extend to third-party cloud storage. Use it at your own discretion and risk. Extra storage does not add RAM or make a larger model fit in memory.

Does your company offer Naldar cloud storage?

Yes—our company is developing Naldar cloud storage, but is not available yet. It is planned to be included at no additional charge for users renting on yearly plans and users who purchase a version. Storage allowances, availability and cloud-specific privacy details will be announced before launch. Local use remains an option.

Does it need the internet to run?

Local chat, image and video generation work offline once the apps, compatible models and engines are installed. You still need internet access for downloads, updates, web search, browsing and connected services. Customer rental activation also needs an online check at least every seven days; offline access remains bounded by the paid period.

What is an AI model? Do I have to download one?

A model is the AI engine that produces an answer, image or video. Local use needs compatible model files installed on your Mac. Different models offer different capabilities and use different amounts of memory and storage.

What is the oldest Mac I can use for basic chat?

Naldar requires Apple silicon and macOS 14 Sonoma or later. A 2020 M1 Mac mini with 8 GB of unified memory is the oldest desktop configuration we expect to run the Gemma 4 E2B starter for basic local chat. Allow 7.4 GB of free storage for setup. Performance on the 8 GB configuration has yet to be verified.

What about a MacBook?

The 2020 M1 MacBook Air and 2020 13-inch M1 MacBook Pro with 8 GB are the earliest laptop configurations we expect to run the starter. If you’re buying for longer chats, browser agents or multitasking, choose 16 GB of unified memory or more. On a used 2020 MacBook, check that About This Mac lists Apple M1 under Chip.

Will a more powerful Mac let me run more capable models?

More unified memory gives larger compatible models and longer conversations room to run. A faster Apple silicon chip can make replies and generations faster. We recommend 32 GB or more for Naldar’s optional Gemma 31B and Qwen 27B models, and 48 GB or more for Qwen 27B Uncensored Q6 or Q8. An external SSD provides more room for files. Model capacity still depends on unified memory.

Do these requirements also cover Naldar Studio?

The 8 GB estimate is for starter chat. Studio’s image and video models have their own memory and storage requirements. Check the specific model’s requirements before downloading it.

Can an agent use my accounts or act on its own?

Agents can carry out supported tasks through the tools and permissions you provide. They do not automatically have access to every account or file. Sign-in, available tools and action approvals affect what they can do. Review permissions carefully before allowing repeated actions.

Price and limits.

How much will Naldar cost?

The introductory price is US$6.99 per month for Naldar and Naldar Studio. We are preparing both apps for launch. See Pricing for the current offer; creating a free account takes no payment.

Do I lose my work or files if my license expires?

No. Your saved work and files remain yours and are not deleted when your license expires. You can still access your existing files; only new generations become unavailable until you renew or reactivate your license.

What does unlimited local generations actually mean?

Our company does not meter the apps’ local generations with generation credits or per-image fees. Unlimited does not mean instant or unlimited computing power: your Mac, available memory and storage, chosen models and supported features set the practical limits. Optional connected services may have their own quotas and charges.

Why pay a subscription if my computer does the processing?

The subscription supports operating, maintaining and developing Naldar and Naldar Studio. Updates we release for your included apps are available at no extra charge while your subscription is active. We decide whether and when to release updates. Local generation uses your Mac rather than cloud processing provided by our company.

Are all models equally capable, and can I trust every answer?

No. Models vary in accuracy, style, reasoning and supported features. They can misunderstand context or produce incorrect information. Check important facts, review generated content and supervise consequential actions. More processing time does not guarantee a correct answer.
