The cabin has a table, a window, and no signal. You’ve got a charged Mac, a little time, and the way the trees looked just before dusk still in your head.
Make a postcard. It can be from a real place you visited, somewhere you remember from childhood, or a place you can only imagine. Give it one image and a short note. You can keep it for yourself, print it when you get home, or send it later.
Start with what you noticed
Write down three details before asking for help: the color of the light, one object in the scene, and a small thing you would have missed if you’d walked past. “Blue light, a chipped enamel mug, and pine needles on the windowsill” gives you more to work with than “a beautiful cabin.”
Use Naldar’s local chat to help shape those details into a short note. Ask for a few options in your voice. Borrow a line if it fits. If the model invents a wood stove you never saw or makes the evening sound more dramatic than it felt, change it.
TRY THIS PROMPT
Help me write a postcard using the three details below. Give me two versions under 45 words each. Keep the first plain and the second a little more atmospheric. Use the details I give you and leave room for me to add my own ending.
Make the picture on your Mac
Open Naldar Studio and use a supported local image model you installed and tried before leaving. Describe the place from a particular angle. Try a pencil sketch, a printed travel-poster look, or something as quiet as a single patch of light on the floor. Save a version you like, then try changing just one detail so you can see what it does.
Local image generation can work without internet when the app, model and engine are ready and your Mac can handle the workload. On a battery, a few small experiments may make more sense than a long generation session. If you’ve only installed a chat model, you can still write the note and save the image prompt for later.
Keep the postcard somewhere you choose
Save the note and image in a local folder if you want them to stay on your device. Check whether the folder syncs to an outside service. Our company doesn’t receive your local prompts or creations through local processing. A copy you send, upload, or sync can be received by the service or person you chose.
Give the file a name you’ll remember. When you open it next winter, the chipped mug may be the thing that brings the whole evening back.
